It was lovely to welcome our P1 parents into our P1 classroom this week.\u00a0 Parents had a chance to look around the classroom and see how settled and happy our P1 pupils are in school.\u00a0 Look out on the P1 blog page for some photos.<\/p>\n
We asked the parents to give some feedback on our transition programme.\u00a0 It’s great to hear it has been such a success and we are so proud of how well all our wee superstars have settled in. Here are the responses we received:-<\/p>\n
‘Transition was very well done, made it so much easier for the kids to understand what was going to be happening.\u00a0 Lots of info was sent, which was great also.’<\/em><\/p>\n ‘Transition programme is fantastic. Plenty of visits which were very beneficial.\u00a0 (My child) has settled in well to P1.\u00a0 Loads of information. Buddy system is great. No improvements needed, transition programme is perfect.’<\/em><\/p>\n ‘The transitions were beneficial and set the kids up for a positive start to school.\u00a0 Plenty of info and the buddy system is amazing, my child loved her and she gave my child a lot of confidence. Cracking school.’<\/em><\/p>\n ‘Showing the kids the new school ahead of time was great to give them a taster.\u00a0 He’s settled fine. The paperwork given to us before the summer holidays was very helpful. Buddy system us good although he would have preferred a boy buddy (his words).’<\/em><\/p>\n ‘The big step to P1 was made a lot easier with visits and having a buddy.\u00a0 Everyone was well prepared for the transition.’<\/em><\/p>\n ‘I found the visits brilliant as it gave my child an idea of what to expect.’<\/em><\/p>\n ‘The transition has helped my child to settle in.\u00a0 She loves coming to school and doing activities.\u00a0 The buddy system had been good, giving my child someone to go to.’<\/em><\/p>\n ‘The visits helped a lot as it prepared him for coming. My son has settled in just fine – he loves it. He also loves his buddy. I’m happy with the information given and in how well he has settled.’<\/em><\/p>\n ‘The transition has been really great.
