In our Home Circles<\/strong> this morning we all focused on two articles from the UN Convention of the Rights of the Child.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Some members of our Rights Respecting Schools Committee Group<\/strong> talked to us about the ABCDE of Rights<\/strong> and explained that this is an easy way to remember why the rights are important.<\/p>\n

We also discussed World Water Day<\/strong>, which happens on 22nd March every year, and is a worldwide promise to work towards everyone around the world having access to clean, safe water.<\/p>\n

Article 24<\/strong> states that ‘every child has the right to the best possible health.\u00a0 Governments must provide good quality health care, clean water, nutritious food and a clean environment, and education on health and wellbeing so that children can stay healthy’.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Article 27<\/strong> states that ‘every child has the right to a standard of living that is good enough to meet their physical and social needs and support their development. Governments must help families who cannot afford to provide this’.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
