Today the Intergenerational Committee have been busy organising, planning and collecting games for our Games Morning . The games day is on Wednesday 25th March 2020, 10.30am-12noon. I hope you can come to the games morning. Its going to be good fun! By Demi (P6)
Today was our last committee group session so we decided that we would visit the ECC because we have been helping them organise their 50th celebration. The committee had the opportunity to play with children outside. We all had a great morning!
We are planning an event to celebrate 50 years of Catrine Primary School. We will be sending a letter to all parents/past pupils/grandparents to get information about your experiences at Catrine Primary School. We are looking for photographs, newspaper clippings, special memories or stories. If possible, please date your items.
Please bring these into school and give them to Mrs Ferguson, Mrs Goudie, Haily Rafferty, Rachael Swegsda or Calvin Donnelly (P7s)
This afternoon our Heritage Committee spent a lovely afternoon finding out about how life in Catrine has changed. The children asked lots of interesting questions about school life, houses, shops and even outside toilets! We enjoyed delicious baking, teas and juice while chatting together. Thank you to Heather and all the staff at the Cevic Centre for being fabulous hosts. And a special thanks to all our guests, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
We are researching why Catrine Primary has the specific names for each house. We would like to find out about where these names came from. Why are they important to Catrine? What is the history behind the name?
We are hoping to use the information to create a poster in class showing the importance of each House.
Their names are Marneil, Avalon, Ayrbank, Whiteflat.
