Layla, Alex, Calvin and Madison took part in a Judo competition at the weekend at the Time Capsule. They were lucky enough to have a Master Class with judo Olympian Ashley McKenzie before their competition. Layla had her judo belt signed by Ashley McKenzie. After competing they went ice skating.

Dance Show
A few of the girls from Primary 1 – Primary 7 showcased their dancing on Friday and Saturday night at Cumnock Academy . The girls and their dancing teachers have all worked hard to put on such a spectacular show!!
Khyla and Sophie recently took part in the Lapraik Scottish Poetry Competition. They both received a medal and a book for participating. Well done girls .
Evie was part of a gymnastics display where she won a medal for most improved gymnast . Well done Evie !
Football Tournament
Morgan,Ryan and Daryl took part in the Glenafton Boys Club tournament at the weekend. They each received a trophy for participating. Well done boys!

Caleb & Curtis took part in the Cumnock Juniors Boys Club Tournament at the weekend. They both received a trophy for their participation.
Clark took part in the Vision’s Annual Championship Gala at the weekend . He had a very successful day winning lots of medals and trophies.

As part of our outdoor learning, the Improving Our School Grounds committee planted Daffodils last year . The Daffodils really brighten up the infant playground.
Judo
Sophie Smith, Sophie Donnelly, Connor Donnelly, Alix McClue and Layla Shaw recently took part in a Judo competition. They all received a trophy for competing. They train in Catrine Games Hall on a Thursday and are always on the lookout for new members .
Zac’s Trophy
Zac received his lovely trophy at his football presentation recently . Zac trains and plays with Auchinleck Talbot 2011s. Well done Zac !
Harvest Service
This morning we held our annual Harvest Service. As usual we received lots of donations that will be donated to a local foodbank . Thank you once again for all of the donations.

Playground Fun In the Sun !
The children are enjoying the good weather at playtime and lunchtime . Thanks to some of the Primary 5/6 for setting up equipment and playing games. We are so lucky having a big spacious playground .
Swimming Lessons
Primary 7 enjoyed their 2nd swimming lesson at Auchinleck Academy this morning.
K-Nex Challenge
Erin and Dannii were at Auchinleck Academy today taking part in the K-NEX Challenge quarter finals . They had to work to a time limit ……they worked well under pressure and managed to complete the challenge on time and answer all Mr Gilchrist’s questions!
Both girls received a certificate and some pencils. Well done girls and also well done to Ochiltree Primary who will take part in the semi finals.
Girls Football Festival
Well done to the girls who made it to the Girls Football Festival final that took place at Ayrshire College Kilmarnock . It was a cold day but the girls enjoyed participating in the event . They also asked Scotland international ladies player Jo Love some interesting questions and received some balls for the school. Well done !!
