Primary 6 had great fun last Thursday designing and making their own creations for the Easter egg competition. There were some fantastic ideas and great creativity was shown when designing the eggs. Our overall winner was Summer – well done! Here are some pictures of our creations.
Once again our pupils have amazed us with their creativity and imagination and have done an amazing job of decorating their eggs. Every year we see new ideas and although there can be only one winner in each stage, the children should all be extremely proud of their creations. Well done to all the winners who are pictured below.
Primary 6 pupils have the opportunity to take part in the Big Sleepover at Catrine Primary School on Friday 7th June 2019. Your child has been given information today. Please complete and return as soon as possible. Please click on the link below for further information:
Some Lego Movie 2 merchandise arrived in school for our budding rocket engineers. The goodies were shipped to the P4/5 group who had their eco-rocket selected as a runner-up in a national Lego Competition.
The Creative Minds Team is running a Dance Summer School for children from Primary 4-7 at the William McIlvanney Campus, Kilmarnock from Monday 22 July – Friday 26 July. Places will be allocated on a first come-first served basis. Please follow the link below for further information. If you wish a hard copy, please contact the school office.
The children have been learning about road safety.
“You have to stop, look and listen before you cross the road”.
‘Look out for pedestrian crossings.’
‘ Always wear a seatbelt when we travel in a car or a bus.’
Road safety was explored through a variety of resources – table top games and drawing maps are only a few examples. The children also put their knowledge into good use when they were walking up to the primary school and back down again to the ECC.
Please ensure you have your child’s lunch ordered for Monday 15th April to enable Auchinleck Academy to deliver the quantity required. Thank you for your continued cooperation with ordering lunches through ParentPay.
The whole school will be going to Blair Drummond Safari Park for their Summer outing on Thursday 13 June. The buses will be leaving at 8.45 a.m. and return at approximately 4.30 p.m. A contribution of £10.00 per child should be paid by Friday 7 June.
The cost of the trip is £20.50 per child, however the school fund will contribute £10.50 per child towards the trip reducing the balance to £10.00. The trip is on ParentPay and can be paid by instalments.
If you wish any further information, please do not hesitate to contact the school. Further information and permission forms will follow.

This morning the ECC children joined in the Community Clean Up and headed out to pick up litter. They worked really hard and collected quite a few bags. Thank you to Tam McKinnon for involving the ECC and inspiring them to keep Catrine tidy.
