We were hard at work today in the STEM/DYW Committee. We worked in groups to build Solar Rovers which are little buggies powered by energy from sunlight through a mini solar panel. We had to think about the direction of the sunlight and make sure there was no shade to get maximum energy to convert.
We also built Lego models from the Lego Education kit. We were amazing at following the guides to make lots of different things.
To finish off we did some chromatography which is the science of separation. We separated colours and were amazed with the results. The most surprising colours were black, brown and grey. Have a look at our pictures to see how the different colours that make them.
