Fun in Primary 1 🌟

We have had a fantastic first week in Primary 1 exploring lots of different resources. We have also been very creative in the construction area, went to gym for the  first time and played with some of the toys.

Please ensure you put your child’s name on all of their clothes to help us to prevent any mix-ups. Thank you!

First week in P2!

What a busy week in P2! We have been enjoying settling into primary 2 and catching up with our classmates. We have spent lots of time using resources such as the rekenreks and tens frames to practise number bonds to 10 and our doubles.  Take a look!

Drop-in Sessions

We are nearly at the end of a great first week at Catrine Primary School. To give you a chance to meet your child’s new teacher and to see around their new classroom, we are having drop-in sessions on Wednesday 4 September:

8.45 a.m. – 9.15 a.m.

2.30 p.m. – 3.00 p.m.

Please note this is an informal session – you will be able to discuss your child’s progress with their teacher during the Parents’ day/night in October.

We hope you are able to join us.

Primary 7 Outdoor Learning

As part of their continued work on improving school grounds and outdoor learning, Primary 7 will be involved in working in the school garden tomorrow. All pupils should come to school wearing suitable clothing for the weather – warm jacket, trousers/trackies, wellies/boots. Basically clothes that can get dirty! Pupils should also bring a change of clothing that they can change into when they come back into class.

Facts on Flu

NHS Scotland recommends primary school children get the flu vaccine every year. It’s given as a painless nasal spray at school. The vaccine is the best way to protect your child against flu.

When confirmed dates for Catrine Primary School are received, further information will be posted.
