COACh Session for Parents/Carers
Outdoor Learning is an essential part of education in Scotland and throughout the current school year the Curriculum Outdoors Attainment Challenge [COACh) team have been working with classes at Catrine PS. The aim is to help embed learning outdoors and establish it as part of the normal school routine.
The COACh team are offering a session for parents and carers to demonstrate some of the ideas behind learning outdoors and to allow the adults to try out some of the activities and use some the equipment the children have been using. The session will run the end of the school day on Wednesday, 15th May from 3.10 pm (meeting in the playground at the Main Entrance) until approximately 4.10 pm.
The session will be fun, help you gain understanding of the work being done at the school and may even give you some ideas for activities you do with your children.
The session will be held in the school grounds. Bring your wellies/old boots and waterproofs (even if the sun is shining!). Children are welcome to come along under the supervision of their parents/carers.
Looking forward to seeing you!
