Our ECC welcomed the Care Inspectorate for an unannounced inspection in October and we are delighted to be able to share the results with you. In the Elmer Room the children have been exploring opposites and trying different experiments.
With winter fast approaching, Janet our janitor is all set for the colder weather.
At the ECC we were learning about ring games, we started off in a circle then we had to listen for our name to take a turn within the game . We played a selection of ring games, Duck, duck, Goose,- Big brown bear,- Mrs Macaroni, – I sent a letter to my love. We were learning to take turns and share limited space available, great fun had by all.

On Wednesday, the class visited the Cevic Centre to make lovely winter decorations. We had fun experimenting with different types of scissors to make paper snowflakes and designed pictures for their winter calendar.
Primary 2/3 will be visiting Catrine Cevic Centre on Wednesday 29 November. The children will leave the school at 9.15 a.m. and return by lunch time. Please ensure your child has a warm jacket/hat/gloves on. Miss McLean will supervise the children. Please return completed permission forms.

At Catrine ECC the children , parents and staff raised a total of
£56-30 for Children in need on Friday the 17th November 2017.
The Green group joined up with the Cevic staff to make paper chains and snow flakes.
Primary 3/4/5 will be visiting Catrine Cevic Centre on Wednesday 22 November. The children will leave the school at 9.15 a.m. and return by lunch time. Mrs Ferguson will supervise the children. Please ensure your child has a warm jacket/hat etc. in the event of adverse weather. All permission forms must be returned by Wednesday morning.

Stuart Sharpe, Aiden Murphy, Samuel Douglas, Bruce Ferguson, Sarah Ferguson, Erin Shirkie and Angie Leitch took part in a competition on Sunday 19th November at Williamwood High School (outside Glasgow) playing in Auchinleck & Cumnock Concert Band. The Junior Band received Gold and the Intermediate Band received Silver Plus. Congratulations!!!
Carolyn McFarlane from Coach has phoned the school today to advise that the 3 planned outdoor sessions which should have started tomorrow have been postponed until after the Christmas holidays. This affects Primary 1/2, Primary 3/4/5 and Primary 6/7. Please contact the school on 01290 551436 if you require any further information. At The ECC this Friday 17th November we will be ‘raising lots with the help of SPOTS’ for BBC Children in Need. There will be a collecting bucket at the front door and children can wear spots of any kind if they wish. Thanks.
