WINNER WINNER WINNER

Arty Antonia bagged herself a huge chocolate hamper after winning a competition.  Antonia won first place in the ‘Lost Elf’ poster competition run by Shimmer and Shine home furnishings shop in Cumnock.  She had to help some elves find their buddy who was last seen in the Rudolph Forest.   Antonia’s colourful poster was picked from more than 50 entries as the winner.

Well done Antonia.

Weekly Roundup – Miss Murdoch

This Thursday and Friday P5/6 have been looking at our solar system. We know that our solar system is made up of the eight planets, asteroids, dwarf planets, the sun, and moons.

P5/6 were able to make models of the individual planets and painted them to create our very own class solar system!

In maths we have been learning to tell the time using digital clock and analogue clock and have also explored the concepts of am and pm.

In writing we have been creating a narrative story and have created our characters and setting so far.

Wednesday Round-up

It has been a busy week in P5/6.  We have been working on writing an accurate summary as well as starting perimeter in maths. We have been doing some festive art as well as some STEM challenges. We made our own marble mazes and tin foil boats and if you look up at our class windows you might see some special winter art designs.

Tweet Premiere

What an amazing day we had at our Tweet Premiere. The hall was beautifully decorated with our  flight themed decorations and we even had a photo wall and special celebration cake. We were blown away by both movies and can’t wait to share them with you later this week.

We also had a special presentation when we received certificates as well as our very own WAL (winning at life) jackets, complete with the dance-tronaut logo.

The after party in class was full of fun, photos, cake and dancing.

We had the best time. Check it out below.

Tweet Film Project Premiere

This Wednesday (24th November) is the premiere of our Tweet Film Project. To celebrate this special day we will be having a  screening in the afternoon as well as fun activities in class.

As a class we have decided that we are going to dress in our own clothes for the day instead of school uniform. This can be casual or party clothes – as long as they are warm as it might be a cold day!

We cannot wait to be able to share our films with you soon.

From P5/6.
