P4 have kicked off Maths Week with Miss Murdoch by learning to measure the length of different objects.

In class the pupils were able to identify the different metric units of measure in length such as millimetres, centimetres, metres and kilometres. Following this, the pupils were then able to tell Miss Murdoch that a skyscraper is measured in kilometres during their measure quiz! 

The pupils then took part in solving practical measuring problems. This required the pupils to estimate the length of objects inside the classroom and then accurately measure them using the correct measuring device.
