Staffing changes

Last week we carried out interviews in an effort to fill our vacant Support Assistant post.

We are absolutely delighted to share that, after a fantastic interview Jordan Harkin, who has been covering the post since August, was successful. It was super to be able to offer the permanent job to her. Over the past few weeks Jordan has built positive relationships with the children, has demonstrated nurturing approaches at all times and has fit in with the staff team from the get-go.

Congratulations and welcome (officially) to the team, Jordan 🙂

However, unfortunately, with great news comes sad news for the team too. Our absolutely fantastic practitioner Michelle has been offered a temporary post as acting Senior ELCP at Netherthird ECC. This will be Michelle’s first promoted post and boy, does she deserve it. With the experience and calmness that Michelle brings to the job Netherthird are lucky to be getting her – and we are devasted to be losing her.

It is unknown at the moment how long Michelle will be covering in this post for, so to ensure consistency for the Voes Room we have ensured that we have another highly experienced ELCP coming in to join the Ducks and Swans. Amanda Hopkins is no stranger to the ECC and is another member of staff who already has positive relationships with many of our children, families and staff 🙂

As always, we look forward to welcoming Amanda back to the centre and into the Voes playroom alongside Julie T 🙂

Due to the nature of the post Michelle is going to fill it has been a requested that she be released as soon as possible so, as a team, we are sad to be saying goodbye to her tomorrow 🙁 as Michelle starts her new job on Monday.

Michelle, we are super proud of you and we know you will be an amazing senior. Netherthird are lucky to have you, and we will be waiting with open arms for you to come back to us soon 🙂

Congratulations, we will miss you loads and ………. try not to be late, if that’s possible :/

Michelle’s Workshop

Thank you to everyone who came along to Michelle’s parent workshop this morning. The children had a ball and according to the feedback, parent/carers did too.

Huge well done to Michelle for the effort she put in to the set up of both rooms with super experiences on offer showcasing each of the schematic play styles.

ANOTHER FAB MONTH IN CATRINE ECC 🙂

Michelle’s Parent Workshop

Michelle is kicking off our first parent workshop of the year.

FRIDAY 7th NOVEMBER FROM 9AM – 10AM

As a staff team, we are continuously aiming to improve the service in which we can offer to our families.

Through self evaluation tasks and parent/carer feedback from questionnaires,  our goal is to ensure that parent/carers feel involved in the centre and understand how they can best support their child.

Each month, a different ELCP leads a workshop relating to their leadership area.

Michelle has a great understanding and wealth of knowledge in SCHEMATIC PLAY. The benefits of understanding this style of play can offer amazing learning experiences and she wants to share this with you as parents.

This session will be a mix of both adult information and time to be active with your child.

Please complete the form below by Wednesday 5th November to allow her to set up accordingly for the numbers attending (book in fast as we may need to cap it once it gets to higher numbers).

Raffle tickets will go on sale tomorrow  with the winner being drawn in time for Halloween 🙂

September’s Monthly Round Up

Every month each  ELCP (Early Learning and Childcare Practitioner) creates a SWAY link allowing parent/carers to find out about some of the experiences that have been on offer within the areas both indoors and out.

Each link below opens up different photos and a short summary of their planning  for the month.  Our main focus throughout our first planning cycle of the new year was around rules, routines, safety and building relationships.

On Monday our ELCPs will move to their new area for the month of October.

Community Practitioner Workshops

Christine is our Community Practitioner for the centre.

Part of her role is to support families with aspects of home life.

At this time of  year we always feel it is important for our families to be invited into the centre to meet Christine, find out what she can offer and take away some good tips and strategies to use in the home.

We have attached her poster for dates and times
