If you are struggling with Teams you can complete your spelling task in your own e-portfolio. Please send me an email to let me know that you have done this and I can check your work.
Write a super sentence for each of your spelling words. Can use use an interesting opener and connective in each one? You may do this on paper and upload a photo or type it in a word document.
I have a few tasks for you to try over the weekend to practise using Teams.
Download the Teams app onto your smartphone or tablet if you have one. I think this can possibly be accessed through Xbox or Playstation too if you are struggling. You will need your Glow email address to sign in which is your Glow username followed by @glow.sch.uk.
Find our class notebook and add something to our test page. This can found by going to Class Notebook > Navigation Panel (purple arrow at top left) > Collaboration Space > Class News > Test Page.
Please try to download the Microsoft Teams app on to your tablet or smartphone tonight if possible. You will need your Glow email and password to access this. Pupils were sent home with logins today in their schoolbags. If your child was off today and has forgotten their details please email me at eajacqueline.caldow@glow.sch.uk and I will send them on.
This app will allow us to learn and communicate in the event of a school closure.
We have started reading our class novel ‘The Last Wolf’ by Michael Morpurgo. I would ask that you please do not buy and read this book at home as it means we will not be able to complete prediction activities if you read on further. Thank you!
Also during this time we will not be working on Bug Club books in class except for children who require more support and practise. These will still be allocated for homework and Miss Caldow will check typed answers weekly, make sure you are still adding lots of detail.
I have attached below the various Number Talks strategies we use in P5 for your reference. Hopefully this will help with homework. We have not covered all of the strategies yet.
Pupils should now be well on their way with learning our Scottish poem ‘To A Louse’ by Robert Burns.
Our three class finalists will be chosen on Monday 27th January by Miss Caldow.
By Thursday 30th January we will have chosen the finalist who will represent our class at the school Scottish Assembly on Thursday 6th February at 9.30am. Parents of the representative will be notified on Thursday 30th January as they will be invited to attend this assembly.
