What a FANTASTIC time we had at Tough Mudder 5 today!! Thank you so much for those who sponsored us. We ran, slid, jumped, crawled and got soaked!
On Friday afternoons, Mrs Clapperton has been teaching us Heart Start – this is basic first aid including CPR. We have been listening for information and then practising using dummies, bandages and the choking vest. We now feel more confident and better equipped to help to deal with an accident or an emergency.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our 6 week block of massage in school. We have learned 15 moves that we have practised on each other in school and some of us even practised at home! Today we celebrated our learning by inviting our families to join us in school. Thank you to those of you who were able to join us – we hope you left feeling relaxed and chilled!
Primary 3 have been working on a STEM shoebox challenge – to construct a moving model vehicle. The overall aim of the challenge is for the model to move as far as it can and as straight as it can down a ramp. We had to design, create, construct and make adaptions to our models. This project has helped us to develop a wide range of skills and introduced us to the concept of engineering. Here are some pictures to show us in action!
