Primary 7 have been investigating the properties of light. We were using prisms to separate wavelengths of light. The prism refracted the light which showed us the colours of the rainbow. This showed us how light is made up of different colours.
 
Primary 7 have been learning about the properties of light. Primary 7 were investigating refraction of light. We were experimenting how light bends when it travels between air, water and glass. Objects seen through these materials may look bent or distorted due to refraction.
Owen from Zoolab brought his animal friends in for a visit. We learned lots of new facts and loved our hands on experience. We were all very brave! 
As part of our Living Things topic we explored the outdoor classroom for mini beasts. We found lots of white butterflies. We decided to make feeders for them. We had to make them bright and used fruit as a tasty snack. When we were placing our feeders in and around the area we found a seagull egg!
As part of our Earth and Beyond learning, Primary 3 completed a personal project at home. They had 2 options to choose from – construct the Saturn V model that was part of the Apollo 11 mission, or to research and create a poster about the Apollo 11 mission. They had 2 weeks to complete their project. Miss Edwards was delighted with their work and would like to thank all their families/adults who supported with this.
