Wear it Purple for Ayrshire Hospice

Today we ‘wore it purple’ in order to show support and raise some money for the Ayrshire Hospice. The whole school, including staff, took part and brought in a small donation. We will keep you up-to-date with how much we have raised after we have counted it all!

P6 couldn’t help themselves and asked to ‘borrow’ Mrs Flynn for a photo opportunity!

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT 🙂

P6 – Healthy Teeth Experiment – The Final Results (4 weeks)

Lucas and Rozalyn have had their teeth submerged in fizzy juice for 4 weeks now (luckily they were baby teeth that had fallen out and not the adult ones that they still have in their mouth!). Lucas had his tooth in Coca-Cola and Rozalyn had hers in Diet Coke.

Both of the teeth have rotted badly, feel very crumbly and have a bad smell to them. The teeth are now black and look very ugly…they also can’t do their job properly because they are so weak.

As a class we have made a promise to ourselves to try and drink less fizzy juice (even diet stuff!) and drink more water. We want to have lovely shiny and white teeth until we are old!! We hope you follow in our footsteps and also try to cut down!

SLC go to Sportsability!

On Friday 6th October 2017, P5, 6 and 7 pupils from SLC 3 went to the Sportsability event at Ayrshire College in Kilmarnock.  We got to take part in lots of different sports such as athletics, rugby, football, sitting volleyball, netball and dancing.  We had such a great day trying out different sports and send a big thank you to all involved in organising the day.  We can’t wait until next year!
