SLC 1 – No Pens Wednesday

During No Pens Wednesday  SLC 1  used to Magic Carpet to find and read their tricky words.

At numeracy they wrote all their answers in sand.  They were making 2 and 3 digit numbers.

They also looked for words that began with ‘t’ using a torch. Then they built a tent and went on the telephone.

They ended the day by practising  number bonds using pegs and number cards.

SLC2 – No Pens Wednesday!

SLC2 had lots of fun on No Pens Wednesday! In the morning for maths the class was learning about 3D shapes. They used the iPad to drive the BB-8 robot to the different 3D shapes. BB-8 could even nod and beep to let them know that they got the correct shape!

SLC2 have been learning all about the colours in their Spanish lessons. Today they were using Linguascope to practice matching the colours from Spanish to English, and using the playdough to practice how to spell the Spanish colours.

Dyslexia Friendly School – Wear it Blue!

As part of our No Pens Wednesday on the 4th of October each pupil will be asked to come to school wearing something blue! This doesn’t have to be their normal blue school jumper – it can be anything! The more adventurous the better!

Throughout that day and leading up to it we will have blue ribbons on sale that can be yours in exchange for a small donation.

Let’s break down the barriers to learning together.
