On Tuesday P7 travelled to Kirkstyle Primary to learn about hazards, dangers and how to protect ourselves at home and in the community.
We learned about;
- Safety in the countryside
- Flood prevention
- Blind-spots on buses
- Road accidents…and much more.

P6 and P7 Cross-Country
This week 8 P6s and 10 P7s took part in the Cross-Country running event at Kilmarnock Athletics Arena.
P3 – Food and Farming – Baking Scones
We had a lovely afternoon today as Mrs Houston visited us and helped us to bake our very own scone! We learned about the ingredients we needed and the method to use. Tomorrow we will use what we have learned to write our very own recipe for baking scones.
P4 – Mummification Experiment (Week 2)
We have been having lots of fun learning all about Ancient Egypt. We are now onto week 2 of our mummification science experiment and this week we had to vacate the classroom because things were getting stinky!! The mummified objects are now looking smaller, browner, thinner, and wrinkly and have no water or juice left in them. The non-mummified objects are very smelly, mouldy, and green and have liquid oozing out of them. If you look at our pictures can you tell the mummified objects from the non-mummified objects?
P4 – Bug Club!
Primary 4 are enjoying their weekly class session of Bug Club. They are making great use of our new IPads and laptops and our new internet speed is really helping to aid their learning. Please remember that, if possible, Bug Club should also be accessed at home.
