P5/6 Remembrance Assembly

On Wednesday 8th November, P5/6 led a Remembrance Assembly for the whole school. They worked very hard to prepare and rehearse and were able to confidently tell the school about Remembrance Day and what it means.

During class time P5/6 also studied the famous World War One poem “In Flanders Fields.” This poem inspired them to create their own poppy drawings using oil pastels.

Stone Age Shelter Building

During Term One, Primary 5/6 were learning all about the Stone Age and really wanted to build their own Stone Age shelters. Due to our typical Scottish weather we decided the best way to do this was to create miniature versions in class!

The class thoroughly enjoyed this activity and were able to show what they had learned through their choice of natural materials that they found outside.
