We have been busy helping Grannie Mainland prepare for her wedding to Neilly Beag on the Isle of Struay. We have been designing wedding cakes, making invites, creating menus and being florists.
We were lucky to get a visit from the Green watch from Kilmarnock Fire Station. They showed us the fire engine, the tools and gave us a shot of their hose. They answered some questions too! It was great fun!
We went a walk to the Dick Institute for a story-telling session as part of our World Book Day celebrations! On the way we spotted an ambulance and the police station!
We had a lovely morning hearing Supertato and going on a hunt for the fruits and veggies around the library!
We had a lovely morning at the Central Evangelical church. Everyone was so welcoming and the children enjoyed meeting the puppets. They were so lucky to receive a lovely storybook about Jesus too.
As part of our Katie Morag topic, we have been learning about People who help us. Our campus cop, PC Weston came to talk about her job. We had some very interesting questions. We had a lovely visit from the police car too!
We have had a busy World Book Day with visits from Councillor Adams, our office ladies (Shrek, Princess Fiona and Donkey) and Mr Alldridge from Grange.
P6B also did some lovely paired reading activities and we got to show our favourite books.
