{"id":908,"date":"2016-03-23T10:07:20","date_gmt":"2016-03-23T10:07:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/LoanheadPrimarySchool\/?page_id=908"},"modified":"2019-05-22T08:52:37","modified_gmt":"2019-05-22T08:52:37","slug":"after-school-activities","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/LoanheadPrimarySchool\/after-school-activities\/","title":{"rendered":"After School Activities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><u>2018 &#8211; 2019 Term <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For your information&#8230; Letters advising clubs are sent home via school bags approximately two weeks prior to the club starting.\u00a0 Places are allocated on the return of\u00a0the completed forms &#8211;\u00a0you will only be contacted if the club is full and your child is not able to secure a place.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>May <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966\"><strong>P1-3 Girls football<\/strong> <\/span>&#8211; starts Tuesday 28th May and will run for 3 sessions (last session on Tuesday 11th June).\u00a0 <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">PLEASE NOTE THIS CLUB IS NOW FULL.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #339966\">After school clubs for all pupils<\/span><\/strong> &#8211; We are please to again be able to offer\u00a0to all pupils across the school\u00a0the opportunity\u00a0to take part in a variety of afterschool clubs together.\u00a0 Letters advising of which clubs pupils will attend have been sent home.\u00a0 Pupils who were unsuccessful in securing a place\u00a0in their choice of club\u00a0this term have been notified and advised that they\u00a0will be given priority at the next round of clubs.\u00a0 The children were given the opportunity to attend the following clubs:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Starting Monday 29th April, last session Monday\u00a010th June:\u00a0STEM P1-3, STEM P4-7, ICT P4-7 &amp; Board Games<\/li>\n<li>Starting\u00a0Wednesday 1st May, last session\u00a0Wednesday\u00a05th\u00a0June: Baking P4-7<\/li>\n<li>Starting Thursday 2nd May, last session Thursday 6th June: Music P1-3 &amp; Knit Natter &amp; Wool Craft.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966\"><strong>P4-7 girls Football<\/strong><\/span> &#8211; starts Tuesday 7th and will run for 3 sessions (last session on Tuesday 21st May).\u00a0 Please return forms to the office if you wish your child to attend.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>April <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966\"><strong>P5 &amp; P6\u00a0Cricket<\/strong><\/span>&#8211; starts Thursday 25th April and will run for\u00a04 sessions (last session on Thursday 16th May)\u00a0.\u00a0 Please return forms to the office if you wish your child to attend.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>March<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966\"><strong>P3 Multisport<\/strong><\/span>&#8211; starts Thursday 21st March and will run for\u00a02 sessions (second session on Thursday 28th)\u00a0.\u00a0 Please return forms to the office if you wish your child to attend.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>February <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966\"><strong>P5 &amp; P4 Basketball<\/strong><\/span>&#8211; starts Tuesday\u00a019th February and will run for 4 sessions (last sessions is 12th March).\u00a0 Please return forms to the office if you wish your child to attend.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>January 2019<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #339966\">After school clubs for all pupils<\/span><\/strong> &#8211; This term we have created the opportunity for all pupils across the school to take part in a variety of afterschool clubs together.\u00a0 Letters advising of which clubs pupils will attend have been sent home.\u00a0 Pupils who were unsuccessful in securing a place\u00a0in their choice of club\u00a0this term have been notified and advised that they\u00a0will be given priority at the next round of clubs.\u00a0 The children were given the opportunity to attend the following clubs:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Starting Monday14th January, last session Monday 11th March:\u00a0Cooking, Drawing, ICT, STEM and Infant Story Time<\/li>\n<li>Starting Thursday 17th January, last session Thursday 14th March: Knit, Knatter &amp;\u00a0Wool Crafting and Gaelic.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966\"><strong>P6 Netball<\/strong> <\/span>&#8211; starts Thursday\u00a017th January and will run for 4 sessions (last sessions is 7th February).\u00a0 Please return forms to the office if you wish your child to attend.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #339966\">P2\u00a0Run, Jump &amp; Throw<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; starts\u00a0Tuesday\u00a022nd January and will run for\u00a03 sessions (last sessions is 5th February). P2 After School Run, Jump &amp; Throw Club<\/span><\/strong> &#8211; starts Tuesday 23rd January and will continue for 3 sessions (last session is 6th February).\u00a0 <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Please note this club is now full.\u00a0\u00a0Letters\u00a0have been\u00a0sent home via school bags to any pupil who had not secured a place at this session.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Due to popular demand for this club\u00a0a second session has been arranged and places have been allocated for\u00a0any pupil that was\u00a0unable to\u00a0secure a place in this original session.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #339966\">P6 &amp; P7 After School Netball Club<\/span><\/strong> &#8211; starts on Monday 15th January, 3-4pm and will continue for 3 sessions (last session is 29th January).\u00a0\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Please note only a few places remain in this club.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>November<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #339966\">P6 &amp; P7 After School Netball Club<\/span><\/strong> &#8211; starts on Thursday 23rd November, 3-4pm\u00a0and will continue for 3 sessions (last session 7th December).\u00a0\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ff0000\">PLEASE NOTE THIS CLUB IS CANCELLED DUE TO INSUFFICIENT TAKE UP OF PLACES.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966\"><strong>P2 After\u00a0School\u00a0Games Club<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0&#8211; starts on\u00a0Tuesday 21st November, 3-4pm and will continue for\u00a04 session (last session is on\u00a012th December).\u00a0\u00a0 <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Please note this club is now full.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966\"><strong>P4-7 Before School\u00a0Energiser Club<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0&#8211;
