ACTIVE SCHOOLS EASTER CAMPS | EAST AYRSHIRE LEISURE

Get ready for an Easter full of fun, friends and sport with Active Schools Easter Camps at East Ayrshire Leisure venues!

Our Easter camps are designed for Primary 1 – Primary 7 children and offer a fun, safe and active way to enjoy the school holidays.

Sessions are delivered by Active Schools coaches and include a wide range of sports, games and team challenges to help children stay active, build confidence and make new friends.

Camps run throughout the Easter holidays at various venues and times.

Transport Times on 2nd April

 Early Closure Easter 2026 Transport Update
 
The Easter school closure on Thursday 2nd April 2026 whereby all schools close at 2.30pm will no doubt have an impact on pupils who access school transport. We have many linked contracts that serve both primary pupils as well as secondary pupils across both mainstream and ASN schools.
To ensure efficient transport provision on this date and to ease congestion, all contractors will arrange to collect primary children at 2pm and secondary pupils thereafter at around 2.30pm.

Car Park

The Car Park entrance is being fixed today which means no one will be able to drive in the normal entrance .
Could everyone please enter the car park via the entrance at the turning circle.  
We realise this is going to cause a bit of disruption and ask that everyone takes extra care when entering / exiting the car park or avoids using the car if possible.

Primary 4 Open Afternoon

Primary 4 enjoyed their experience of leading their open afternoon with pupils being the teachers of the various activities at each of the stations.  They started with the housekeeping and directions which included where the nearest fire exits were and what to do in the event the alarm sounded to how long they had planned for parents to be at each station, what they were learning and why.  All of this took place before the visitors were taken to their starting station and the activities they had designed.

Fun Fit for P3 and P4

Galston Primary School, in conjunction with our Ayrshire College Students, have organised a Fun Fitness Club for P3 and P4 pupils. The club will take place after school on a Monday from 3pm – 4pm on March16th, 23rd and 30th.
If you would like your child to attend please complete the form below as soon as possible. This club is limited to 20 children and places will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
