STEM Day for Primary 7 pupils

60 P.7 pupils from Auchinleck Academy associated feeder Primary schools were involved in a Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths activity day at Dumfries House on Friday 26th May.
Auchinleck Academy Technical Department staff delivered a workshop based on engineering structures. Groups of 5 pupils were given the task to build a scale model of the new Forth Road Crossing cable stay bridge. All groups successfully completed the task within 40 minutes – no mean feat!
