Welcome back P2 and we hope you all had a lovely break!
Homework: joined phoneme ‘ew’ and estimation. See homework tab.
Learners will be staying on the school grounds this Friday, if the weather is dry.

Parents Evening/Afternoon will be on Wednesday 30th April and Thursday 1st May. You will be notified when you are able to book a slot with your child’s teacher using Parents Booking.

Lunch Reminder

Remember to book your child’s lunch on Parent Pay. Teachers can support anyone who has not when they arrive in class in the morning.

Monday 31st March

No new phonemes. Revise split phonemes and common words. Numeracy – fractions with a focus on halves and quarters. See homework tab for resources.
Outdoor Learning
We will be in the playground on Friday.

Literacy Information for P2C and P2E
Our writing focus for this week continues to be sentence structure. For this activity some pupils from P2C and P2E will be moving to another P2 class-for 30 minutes (3 times per week). We have already seen lots of positive progress in learners’ sentence skills and we hope this continues.
Mrs Carten, Miss Ellis and Mrs Findlay.
School will stop at 2.30pm on Friday 4th April. Children will be on holiday from Monday 7th April and will start back on Tuesday 22nd April.

Homework: final split phoneme u_e as in ‘cube’, introducing/exploring concept of fractions and division – see homework tab .

Outdoor Learning: Friday, weather permitting. We will be staying in playground.

Outdoor Learning
On Friday 14th March we hope to visit The Foxes to go on a ‘Hunt for Spring’. Children should wear shoes that can get muddy, even if the weather is dry. A change of socks and trousers would also be a good idea.

A big well done to all children for learning and performing their Scots poems. It was very difficult to choose our class winners. On Thursday 6th February the class winners will perform in the whole school Scots poetry competition. We wish them the best of luck!
