Times tables homework grid

This grid provides different activities to help learners practise their times tables in different ways.  We recommend using 2-3 activities a week for each times table, however if you wish to do more then that is great.  Your teacher will let you know which times table to practise each week.

There are also fun online games to help improve the speed of your times tables recall, such as Topmarks ‘Hit the Button’ and ‘Daily 10’.

Have fun!

P4 Scots Poem – The Crocodile

This year P4 will be learning the Scots poem ‘The Crocodile’ by J.K Annand to celebrate Robert Burns’s birthday.

We expect all learners to engage with the poem and attempt to read it to an audience (this does not have to be the whole class, it could be a small group or individual) by Friday 4th February.  There will be an opportunity for learners to put their name forward for the whole school Burns poem competition and one winner will be chosen from each class.  These learners will then participate in the whole school competition.

Here is a copy of the poem:

Here is a link to a video which helps explains how to perform a poem:

This information will also be available on your Teams page as well as a video of your class teacher performing the poem.

We are looking forward to seeing your performances and hearing your fantastic Scots!
