We are absolutely delighted to announce the winners in our SWEIC Christmas Writing Competition.<\/p>\n
In the Nursery category, our winner is Nina from Muirhead PS with ‘A toy of each other<\/a><\/strong>‘. A close second was Evie from Kirkmichael EYC 1 with \u2018the sad Christmas tree<\/a><\/strong>\u2019.<\/p>\n The winner in the P1-3 Category is Zara, P1 Dundonald with ‘The Gift<\/a><\/strong>‘. I love the idea that snowflakes are a gift. The runner-up is Della-Mae Hall from St Ninians, Prestwick \u2013 \u2018A Cuddle to Esme-Rose<\/a><\/strong>\u2019. What better a gift than a cuddle especially as we went for so long not being able to give each other a cuddle!<\/p>\n In the P4-7 category we received a fantastic selection of writing but there were two that stood out. They both demonstrated great originality and it was a difficult decision but the winner is \u2018A gift for Timmy<\/a><\/strong>\u2019 by Daniel Ferguson, P7K, Doonfoot Primary \u2013 written from the perspective of a Christmas tree. The runner-up is \u2018The Gift<\/a><\/strong>\u2019 by William Hardman, P5 Barassie Primary about Santa’s transportation machine. I had no idea that was how Santa travelled!<\/p>\n Finally, in the S1-3 category there were a number of excellent entries \u2013 a delight to read. It is warming to see so many wonderful writers in South West Scotland!
