{"id":50,"date":"2021-06-04T09:55:02","date_gmt":"2021-06-04T08:55:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/dg\/sweic\/?page_id=50"},"modified":"2023-11-01T09:55:05","modified_gmt":"2023-11-01T09:55:05","slug":"early-years","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/dg\/sweic\/?page_id=50","title":{"rendered":"Early Years"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The South West Early Years work is embedded within all workstreams.&nbsp; As such, our priorities and targets are clearly aligned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through our work we aim to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Support practitioners to be confident in making professional assessment judgements delivering improved validity and reliability of assessment data in EY\u2019s.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support the delivery of well planned high quality learning, teaching and assessment to support education recovery 3-18.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure a clear focus on the priorities which have the greatest impact on improving learning, raising attainment and narrowing the attainment gaps.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Empowering EY leaders to take forward key aspects of improvement in their centres and support staff to take forward identified aspects across the RIC.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Build leadership capacity through opportunities for sharing pedagogy and practice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Facilitate effective approaches to parental involvement, engagement and family learning programmes which provide opportunities for parents and carers to build capacity in supporting their children are shared.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-dots\" \/>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-large-font-size\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/dg\/sweic\/?p=817\"><strong>Early years resources and updates<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-dots\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Early Learning and Childcare Improvement Programme<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/hub.careinspectorate.com\/how-we-support-improvement\/care-inspectorate-programmes-and-publications\/early-learning-and-childcare-improvement-programme\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Care Inspectorate Improvement Hub<\/strong><\/a> for latest updates on their targeted programme.
