{"id":1306,"date":"2022-04-07T12:09:30","date_gmt":"2022-04-07T11:09:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/dg\/sweic\/?page_id=1306"},"modified":"2023-11-01T10:06:38","modified_gmt":"2023-11-01T10:06:38","slug":"outdoor-learning","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/dg\/sweic\/?page_id=1306","title":{"rendered":"Outdoor Learning"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Professional Learning Opportunity<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>Building on the success of the professional learning inputs delivered in 2021\/22 and 2022\/23 sessions, our Outdoor Learning network are planning a series of twilight sessions exploring the six themes from the National Thematic Review: <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/education.gov.scot\/education-scotland\/what-we-do\/inspection-and-review\/chief-inspector-report\/national-thematic-inspections\/successful-approaches-to-learning-outdoors\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Successful Approaches to Learning Outdoors<\/span><\/strong><\/a>, a report by HM Inspectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Themes covered will be Partnerships, Leadership, Curriculum, Experiences, Wellbeing and Professional Learning.&nbsp; Each session will begin with a short keynote and will be followed by setting &amp; schools from each local authority sharing practice linked to the appropriate theme.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dates for the 2023\/24 sessions are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Thursday 14th September<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thursday 5th October<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thursday 16th November<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thursday 18th January<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thursday 14th March<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thursday 2nd May<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Full details on how to register coming soon&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity is-style-wide\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Outdoor Learning Resources<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>A SWEIC Outdoor Learning Team has been established on GLOW as a place to find key documents and materials associated with learning outdoors.&nbsp; The Team also provides a space to share resources, lesson ideas and good practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Practitioners with access to GLOW can use the following joining code: <strong><span style=\"color:#60185a\" class=\"has-inline-color\">gxyg9xu<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These materials will support all practitioners, regardless of their starting point or confidence level.
