Youth Justice Group Work

This multiagency support programme has been rolled out across D&G secondary schools with successful engagement being experienced in all settings. Stranraer Academy will conclude with our first group at Easter, an experience those involved have said is worthwhile.

Mental Elf 5k – UPDATE

Well done to everyone that ran/walked (on 2 legs or 4!) the 5k for Mental Elf this afternoon. The festive spirit is in abundance at Stranraer Academy.

We are pleased to announce that the school will be taking part in the ‘Mental Elf’ Festive Fun Walk/Run 5km 2025 on Wednesday 17 December at 3.25 pm, taking place at the Stuart Binnie Arena/3G pitch.
Pupils and all staff are invited to walk, jog, or run the track.  Festive clothing, Santa hats or Elf headbands etc may be worn (actually they are encouraged!), and we hope to have the hats etc available for sale very soon.
This event is a wonderful opportunity for our school community to come together, get active, and help raise money for better mental health, with all funds being donated directly to NSPCC.
