Rocket Launching

Primary 7 pupils have been learning about Forces. As part of our learning, we have been investigating Air Resistance. We designed a rocket, which would face the least Air Resistance in order to increase the height it travelled. We then tested our designs by launching them. Some managed to go really high!

PTA Christmas Coffee Evening

Just a reminder for everyone that the PTA coffee evening is on Thursday 10th December from 3.15pm – 5pm. Each person must have a ticket to attend the coffee evening. You must also have a ticket if you have an appointment booked for Santa – this is on top of the money paid for Santa. There will be Christmas crafts on sale as well as a tombola, games and the St. Ninian’s choir will be performing. We hope to see you there.

Christmas Stories project

While some of our pupils we away learning to swim, the remaining P6 and P7’s have been using their imagination by writing stories for the younger pupils.  They learned how to write, edit, illustrate and publish a story book from scratch.  Once the books were completed, they were given as an early Christmas present to some of the younger classes.  I hope they enjoy reading them.

Have you ever wondered how many P6 and 7’s it took to change a light bulb?  This is something we learned the answer to at our Life Skills after school club!  (The answer is one!)

We have been learning how to sew, cook (and wash the dishes afterwards), make beds, change a light bulb, put on a load of washing and iron.  We even helped our school look fabulous by doing some hoovering and cleaning!

The photos will show you how well we have been doing – Ryan even demonstrated how to put on a duvet cover in 42 seconds!
