Last weekend nine of our pupils took part in the annual Speech Festival. They all competed in the Prose and Poetry sections. The quality of their performances was outstanding and the results speak for themselves – in each competition a St Ninian’s pupil was placed either 1st, 2nd or 3rd (and in some St Ninian’s took more than one of the top spots). A huge congratulations to all of the children involved.
Aiden P3
Mika and Abi P4
Jude, Drew, Amy, Katie I, Bethany P5
Erin P7.
The school is very proud of each of your achievements! Well Done!
Well done to Aiden who was named joint 2nd for his prose and 1st place for his poetry.
Mika and Abi faced stiff competition in the P4/5 Girls category but showed the competitors how is should be done! Well done girls!
Drew managed to retain her title as queen of prose for the second year running!
Jude managed the double – winning both his prose and poetry competitions! Go Jude!
Amy displayed the skills of a true performer and managed to secure 2nd place for her poetry!
Despite the terrifying prospect of going first, Bethany showed the crowd what she was made of and was named as one of the top four for her prose.
Katie’s winning smile was commented on by the judges. Her prose and poetry skills also ensured that she was able to wow the audience.
Champions! The children will need to make sure they regularly polish their trophies to ensure they continue to sparkle.
Erin in P7 (photo to come) was also able to show off her fantastic skills. She was named as 3rd place in both of her competitions.
The achievements that the children have been able to achieve is all down to the hard work and dedication they have shown over the last few months. Super work guys! You’ve all made St Ninian’s proud!
