Scottish Attainment Challenge Celebration

Our children enjoyed a day of fun activities today, to celebrate our participation in the Scottish Attainment Challenge. There were activities from Molly Mixture, Fairy Bod Mother and Mairi from Active Schools. It was wonderful to see so many parents at our celebratory assembly at the end of the day.

Thank you to our children, parents and staff for their hard work. It has had a huge impact on spelling, reading and writing. Our Early Level children are making great progress with Talking Listening and Questionning – this will continue to the end of the school year.

Choking Hazards in under fives

According to doctors, there is a lack of awareness of the dangers of giving whole grapes to young children. Doctors advise that if giving children foods like grapes or cherry tomatoes, they be chopped in half and ideally quartered.

Stone age to Iron age

Today in Primary 7 we learned about stone age to iron age. We drew pictures from the stone age and it was really hard but we still tried and it was fun. We gave suggestions to the teacher one was that the cave men might have crushed the stone and blew it on the wall with a leaf but there was lots more suggestions. There were hunters that killed animals too they usually kill animals for blood to draw pictures and make materials.

Book detectives

This week P7 have been learning a lot about book detectives. We have been learning about the role of a question master. A question master asks HOTs questions about your book to get your brain working.
