Primary Three Senses Afternoon.

As part of our living things topic we have been looking at the senses and how we use them. This afternoon the Primary Three classroom became a sensory haven with things to smell, taste, feel, listen to and see. The sight table included 3D pictures with 3D glasses, magnifying glasses, kaleidoscopes, optical illusions and colour changing slides.

The smell table tested the children’s sense of smell by letting them smell (but not see) lemon, apple, vinegar, perfume and chocolate.

The feel table included small objects hidden in thick socks and the children had to figure out what they were- this was tricky!

Sound bingo tested the children’s ears by letting them listen to lots of different sounds.

Finally the taste table included 4 different flavoured crisps and the children guessed which flavour they were- they were good at this!

An excellent afternoon of investigation and fun. Well done Primary Three.
