St Ninian's Chatterbox

Dream, believe, achieve and enjoy!

A Primary 6 Victorian Morning (part 2)

On our Victorian morning we did lots of different activities.

We had to test out our times table knowledge with an arithmetic challenge. We also had to read as a class from the novel Jane Eyre. Everyone took it in turns to read aloud. An exciting part of the day was our introduction to Woodwork. We all got a chance to saw some wood using hacksaws and we all managed to survive without chopping any fingers off!

Along with our two Victorian teachers, we also had an assistant teacher. Amy was very scary when she had to bring in the lines and she kept the teachers right all morning!

Some of the naughty children received a detention and they had to write lines 100 times! They even received the dunce’s cap!
