The children kept checking their cups every day but on Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th January they were still filled with water and their objects.

 

Finally on Wednesday 20th January there were squeals of excitement from the garden when the children discovered the water had finally frozen.

There was lots of discussion about what had happened and what the ice felt like.  The children enjoyed looking at the objects inside the ice.

We learned that we need to be very patient when we are doing an experiment.
