It was lovely to see so many parents, carers and family members join us to celebrate our amazing pupils – thank you all for coming along and making the afternoon so special.

One of the highlights of the afternoon was seeing every single pupil receive an award. Whether for effort, progress, achievement, kindness, leadership or one of the many other qualities we value at St Joseph’s, every child had their moment to shine. Some pupils even received more than one award, reflecting the fantastic commitment and success they have shown throughout the year. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them. 🌟

We also celebrated our House achievements for the year. Congratulations to St Ninian’s, who had an outstanding year, winning both the Sports Trophy and the House Points Trophy! 🏆❤️ The Sports Trophy is awarded to the house that earns the most points on Sports Day, while the House Points Trophy recognises the house that has collected the most house points throughout the entire school year. St Ninian’s were worthy winners of both awards – a fantastic achievement!

Of course, our other wonderful houses, St Andrew’s and St Columbus, proudly received the ever-prestigious Mrs Donnelly Cup for being, quite simply, absolutely fabulous! 😄❤️ We wonder if anyone will be able to stop St Ninian’s next year… the challenge is on!

As always, there were plenty of emotional moments too. Our P5 and P6 pupils shared beautiful poems they had written especially for our P7 leavers, reflecting on the friendships, memories and special times they have shared together over the years. There certainly weren’t many dry eyes in the hall.

The afternoon concluded with a truly memorable performance as the whole school sang goodbye to our P7 pupils. It was a heartfelt send-off for a wonderful group of young people who have been fantastic role models within our school. We know they have bright futures ahead of them and wish them every success as they begin their next chapter at Stranraer Academy. ❤️

This year’s Celebration of Success was also bittersweet as we said farewell to our wonderful Headteacher, Ms Whorlow. We would like to thank her for everything she has done for St Joseph’s and for the care, commitment and leadership she has shown throughout her time with us. From everyone at St Joseph’s, we wish you every happiness and success in your new school. You will always be part of the St Joseph’s family. ❤️

As another school year draws to a close, we would like to thank all of our pupils, families, staff and our wider school community for your continued support. Together we have achieved so much, and we couldn’t be prouder of everything our pupils have accomplished.

Congratulations to all of our award winners and well done to every single pupil for making this another year to remember. We hope everyone has a wonderful, well-deserved summer! ☀️🎓❤️

🌍 UNCRC Links
Article 28: Every child has the right to an education.
Article 29: Education should help children develop their talents and abilities.
Article 31: Every child has the right to take part in cultural and creative activities.

🌱 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
SDG 4: Quality Education
SDG 3: Good Health and Wellbeing

💚 SHANARRI Indicators
Achieving: Celebrating success and recognising every pupil’s achievements.
Included: Ensuring every child was recognised and celebrated.
Nurtured: Celebrating together as a caring school community.

💡 Meta-skills
Communicating
Collaborating
Leading
Creativity
Feeling

🌟 The Four Capacities
Successful Learners: Celebrating learning and achievement throughout the year.
Confident Individuals: Building confidence through recognition and performance.
Responsible Citizens: Appreciating the contributions of others and celebrating together.
Effective Contributors: Performing, sharing poems and supporting one another.

✝️ Strands of Faith
In the Image of God: Celebrating the unique gifts and talents of every child.
Reign of God: Living as a caring, supportive and faith-filled school community.

What a wonderful way to celebrate another fantastic year at St Joseph’s Primary School! ❤️ Our Celebration of Success brought together pupils, families and staff to recognise the many achievements, successes and memorable moments from across the school year.
