{"id":6225,"date":"2026-05-19T14:10:58","date_gmt":"2026-05-19T13:10:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/dg\/stjosephsprimary\/?p=6225"},"modified":"2026-05-19T14:10:59","modified_gmt":"2026-05-19T13:10:59","slug":"%f0%9f%8e%93-p7-transition-visit-to-stranraer-academy-%f0%9f%8e%93","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/dg\/stjosephsprimary\/?p=6225","title":{"rendered":"\ud83c\udf93 P7 Transition Visit to Stranraer Academy \ud83c\udf93"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Yesterday, 18th May, most of our P7 pupils &#8211; Ava W, Ross, Myra and Gregor &#8211; enjoyed a half-day transition visit to Stranraer Academy as part of their move towards secondary school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the visit, they had the opportunity to meet the Headteacher as well as their new Year Head, helping them begin to feel more familiar and confident about the exciting transition ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pupils also experienced two different classes during their time at the Academy:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83c\udfa8 <strong>Art<\/strong> \u2013 where they designed and created their own superheroes using their imagination and creativity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83e\uddc0 <strong>Home Economics<\/strong> \u2013 where they made delicious cheese or ham toasties (or cheese and ham toasties!) and, of course, got to enjoy eating them afterwards!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another highlight of the visit was having lunch in the school cafeteria, which the pupils thought was amazing and gave them a real taste of Academy life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are so proud of how well our P7s represented St Joseph\u2019s throughout the visit.
