They explored how circuits work, tested different components, and worked collaboratively to solve problems and make things happen – quite literally! 💡

There was lots of curiosity, teamwork, and experimenting throughout the day, with pupils confidently handling equipment and discussing what worked, what didn’t, and why. It was fantastic to see everyone so engaged and enthusiastic about learning through doing.

After a busy morning, pupils enjoyed their packed lunches at the College, before heading back for the final challenge of the day and this was a real highlight!

For the last activity, pupils designed and created their own light-up card, complete with a bulb on the front. Using the circuit they had built, the bulb lit up when the circuit was closed – a perfect way to show everything they had learned. Even better, pupils got to take their finished card home to show their families! ⚡✨

It was a fantastic day of STEM learning, creativity, and problem-solving, and a great opportunity to learn alongside our friends from Portpatrick. A huge well done to all pupils for their focus, teamwork, and brilliant attitude throughout the day!

🌍 UNCRC
