At the start of the week, P1\u20137 pupils at St Joseph\u2019s Primary took part in the RSPB Big School Birdwatch, enjoying time outdoors and connecting with nature right on our doorstep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wrapped up in the fresh air, pupils carefully observed different birds and worked together to tally how many they spotted. The children showed great focus and enthusiasm as they identified birds, counted sightings, and discussed where birds live and how we can help protect them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This outdoor learning experience was organised by our fantastic Eco Committee, who did an excellent job leading the event and encouraging everyone to get involved. The information we gathered will be used as evidence towards our Eco Schools Silver Award, helping us show our commitment to caring for the environment and promoting sustainability across the school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Birdwatch was a wonderful opportunity for pupils of all ages to learn together, be active outdoors, and appreciate the wildlife around us while having lots of fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
