{"id":5427,"date":"2025-06-27T08:49:41","date_gmt":"2025-06-27T07:49:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/dg\/stjosephsprimary\/?p=5427"},"modified":"2025-06-27T08:49:43","modified_gmt":"2025-06-27T07:49:43","slug":"%f0%9f%9a%81-we-won-the-skyward-challenge-%f0%9f%9a%81","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/dg\/stjosephsprimary\/?p=5427","title":{"rendered":"\ud83d\ude81 We Won the Skyward Challenge! \ud83d\ude81"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>We are absolutely over the moon (or should we say\u2026&nbsp;<em>over the clouds<\/em>&nbsp;\u2601\ufe0f) to share some incredible news&nbsp;with our school community!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier this year, we took part in the Skyward Challenge, a national fundraising campaign run by Scotland\u2019s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA)&nbsp;to help raise money for their brand-new H145 air ambulance helicopter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the challenge, we raised funds during our Summer Fete, bringing in around \u00a330&nbsp;to support this fantastic cause. Every penny helped and with 60 primary schools across Scotland taking part, a grand total of \u00a378,552.29&nbsp;was raised! \ud83d\udc99\ud83d\udc4f<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But the most exciting part?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WE WON THE SKYWARD CHALLENGE!&nbsp;\ud83c\udfc6\ud83d\ude81\ud83c\udf89<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s right &#8211; our small but mighty school was chosen as a&nbsp;winner, and we will soon receive a very special visit&nbsp;from SCAA and their brand-new air ambulance helicopter! The whole school will have the chance to learn more about how air ambulances save lives and see this incredible aircraft up close. \u2708\ufe0f\ud83d\udea8<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a truly amazing achievement for our pupils, staff, and community.
