The children took part in a range of activities covering everything from:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea8 Fire safety and what to do in an emergency<br>\ud83c\udf0a Water safety \u2013 including how to stay safe near open water<br>\ud83d\uded1 Road safety<br>\ud83d\udcbb Online safety tips to help protect themselves on the internet<br>\ud83e\ude79 Basic first aid and how to get help in an emergency<br>\u26a1 Power line and electricity safety<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The children were full of questions and listened so carefully to all the advice given.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We were incredibly proud of how our P6s conducted themselves throughout the day \u2013 their behaviour was exemplary, and they set a wonderful example for our school. This group are going to make amazing P7s next year! \ud83c\udf1f<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A huge thank you to Mrs McGhie, who accompanied the children for the full day and supported them brilliantly at each activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s what a couple of our pupils had to say:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2b50 &#8220;The goggles were terrifying because I couldn&#8217;t see where I was going \u2013 but it was great fun!&#8221; \u2013 <strong>Gregor<\/strong><br>\u2b50 &#8220;I loved getting to make a TikTok-style video about staying safe online \u2013 it was really fun!&#8221; \u2013 <strong>Ava W<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019ll be continuing to explore some of the Operation Safety messages back in school over the next few weeks.
