Along the way, they:<br>\ud83c\udf30 Spotted a red squirrel, a rare and exciting find!<br>\ud83c\udf42 Learned about copper beech trees and the impact of monocultural forests on biodiversity, building on their classroom learning.<br>\ud83c\udf31 Discovered and even <em>tasted<\/em> wild garlic and soft rush\u2014some loved it, others\u2026 not so much!<br>\ud83c\udf0a Discussed rivers and haha walls, understanding how landscapes are shaped over time.<br>\ud83c\udff4\u200d\u2620\ufe0f Heard the incredible story of a robbery that happened in the area exactly 200 years and 1 day ago!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, the <em>boys<\/em> took on the challenge course, which was all about teamwork, resilience, and problem-solving. The key words of the morning? Wet and muddy! \ud83d\udca6\ud83c\udf3f<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Their task involved carrying a bucket of water and Robert the egg safely through an <em>obstacle-filled<\/em> course. Let\u2019s just say\u2026 teamwork had <em>some<\/em> room for improvement, as all of their water was lost, and Robert, unfortunately, didn\u2019t survive the journey! \ud83e\udea3\ud83e\udd5a Despite the setbacks, they had a <em>brilliant time<\/em> laughing their way through the challenges and learning valuable lessons about encouragement, adaptability, and perseverance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Heading Home \u2013 Friendships &amp; Memories<\/strong> \ud83d\ude8c\ud83d\udc99<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>With the final activities complete, it was time for one last clean-up and a chance to reflect on the experience. The <em>biggest success<\/em> of the trip has been the way St. Joseph\u2019s and Portpatrick pupils have come together as one team\u2014showing kindness, encouragement, and support for each other throughout every challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, as we head home, tired but happy, we\u2019re filled with pride for how well the children have represented themselves, their schools, and their communities. New friendships have been formed, lifelong memories have been made, and every child leaves Barcaple having challenged themselves in new and exciting ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A huge <em>thank you<\/em> to the staff at Barcaple for an incredible experience\u2014and of course, to our <em>amazing<\/em> P7s for making this such a special trip! \ud83c\udf1f\ud83d\udd25\ud83d\udc99<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, time
