Transition events

Visits to Primary Schools

St Joseph’s College staff will visit primary schools during May.

During these visits we will meet with primary 7 pupils and speak to them about their transition to St Joseph’s College. Pupils will be able to ask any questions.

St Joseph’s College staff will also meet with primary staff to gather information about pupils transitioning to our school.

 

Active Schools Transition Sports Club

Active Schools will be providing a primary 7 transition sports club at St Joseph’s College.  These will take place after school from 3:30 – 40:30 pm on:

  • Thursday 5th June
  • Tuesday 10th June
  • Wednesday 18th June

On arrival please meet in the schools main entrance, senior pupils and staff will accompany you along to the schools PE games hall.

 

Induction days

Induction days will take place on:

  • Wednesday 25th June
  • Thursday 26th June
  • Friday 27th June

Primary 7 pupils will attend for the 3 days and will experience a taste of St Joseph’s College.

Pupils will be put into their classes and will follow their S1 timetables.

 

Parent/Carer question and answer sessions

Parents will be invited into school at 3:30 on Friday 27th June.

 

Enhanced Transition

If a young person requires an enhanced transition this information will have been communicated through their primary school.

Enhanced transition information will be sent directly to parents of the young people involved.

If a young person is on a Child’s Plan St Joseph’s College can be invited to attend any planning meetings.
