On Friday 10<\/span><\/span>th<\/span><\/span>\u00a0of December,\u00a0<\/span>Sanquhar<\/span>\u00a0Academy will be\u00a0<\/span>collecting donations to support our community<\/span>\u00a0this Christmas.\u00a0 <\/span>We ask that all pupils<\/span>\u00a0and staff<\/span>\u00a0come to school wearing something Christmassy.\u00a0 It could be anything: jumpers, earrings, jazzy socks, tinsel headbands or any other festive accessory of your choice.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This year, we would appreciate if all pupils<\/span>\u00a0and staff<\/span>\u00a0could\u00a0bring a small donation\u00a0<\/span>for<\/span>\u00a0the local Upper Nithsdale foodbank.\u00a0 This could come in the form of tinned foods, pasta, biscuits or any other appropriate food donation. Our aim is to assist the local community, as well as host a fun Christmas-themed day for all within the school.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At breaks and lunchtimes, the sixth years will also be selling\u00a0<\/span>remaining\u00a0<\/span>stock from the local Christmas light switch on, including reindeer hot chocolate cones at \u00a31 and\u00a0<\/span>a selection of\u00a0<\/span>handmade Christmas cards\u00a0<\/span>at \u00a32.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
