We have an exciting opportunity for up to 6 young women and girls (ages 12 – 15 years) to participate in Dumfries and Galloway’s first ever Young Women’s Conference that is taking place at the North West Castle, Stranraer on Saturday 9th March to celebrate International Women’s Day 2024! We have almost reached the end of Term 1. The merits have been totalled and the vast majority of learners have earned the opportunity to attend the Halloween Disco. This year the Halloween disco has been arranged by the S6 Leadership, Prom Committee. Tickets will be on sale on Monday and Tuesday at break and lunch time in the assembly hall for £3:00. In between the September downpours, Sanquhar Academy S1 students enjoyed a sunny trip to the Allanton Peace Sanctuary, near Auldgirth, to celebrate the International Day of Peace on Thursday 21st September 2023. The Sanctuary has been closed to groups and school visitors since the Covid pandemic and Sanquhar Academy were delighted to be the first group invited back to the site.
