S2 Tenner Challenge
The S2 sold products in the assembly hall today as part of their tenner challenge and raised £56 for Cancer Research. Well done S2!
Speech and Monologue Winners!
It has been an exciting term for S1 – S3. All pupils took part in writing a speech or monologue that they then presented to their class. After much debate the following pupils were voted as the year group winners. Congratulations to Hector, Marley and Kayden our fabulous S1 winners. In S2 Kayla was voted as the ultimate speech writer along with Nieve in S3. Well done to all of our winners!
S3 Physics Class Excursion
Our S3 Physics class recently visited the Camera Obscura and World of Illusions in Edinburgh.
Regional Enterprising Maths Challenge
Well done to our team of S3 and S4 girls who represented Sanquhar Academy at the Regional Enterprising Maths Challenge competition at Douglas Ewart High School last Thursday. The girls were a credit to the school and won the Engineering Round with the best bridge. A good time was had by all.

MacMillan Coffee Morning
On Friday 30th September 2022, Sanquhar Academy is holding a Macmillan Coffee Morning. This means it will be a non-uniform day with a recommended donation of £1.
There will also be baking for sale, ‘Guess the Sweets in the Jar’ (30p a guess), and ‘Soak a Teacher’ (£1 for 4 throws or 50p for 2 throws).
