At Sanquhar Academy we work together to ensure that every child in our school community has every opportunity to become their best self. Our latin school moto ‘Quae Cun Que Honesta‘ broadly translates to ‘The notice of honesty’ – being open to change and growth through learning. Whilst being honest about our skills, abilities and needs will support our children to become the best adults in the future.
Through the National Improvement Framework we aim to: Place the human rights and needs of every child and young person at the centre of education; improve attainment, particularly in literacy and numeracy; Close the attainment gap between the most and least disadvantaged children and young people; Improve children and young people’s health and wellbeing and improve employability skills leading to sustained, positive school-leaver destinations for all young people.
We utilise every resource within our school and community to improve outcomes for all learners. Partnerships across the community and Pupil Equity Funding are just some of the things we draw upon to support our children to realise their potential.
