The Elmvale Poetry Competition!

Friday 15th March saw the finals of the Elmvale Poetry Competition!
Well done to everyone that took part and the children in each class had a hard decision narrowing the finalists down to two! It was then the even harder decision for the teachers to choose the finalists. They then performed their poems to the school!
Below are their performances in front of the school!

Good on them all, proving that they are indeed “Confident Individuals!”
Further congratulations to our three winners: Sienna, Cian and Shay! 🙂

Feis Rois

Primary 4 and Primary 5 enjoyed our visit from Feis Rois on Thursday. They are joining us for  11 weeks to teach us some Scottish music.

“It was really fun” – Luca

“I am looking forward to playing as a band.” Cian

Remembrance Poppies P3/4

We made delicious cupcakes to remember the people and animals that passed away in the wars. It was extra important this year because it was 100 years since the First war ended. We all had jobs like recipe reader, baker, tester… We have no end photos because Mrs Wilson forgot to take them!

Amazing Apples

Mrs Morrison came in to talk to us about apples. Then she made apple juice with a noisy machine. The apple skinner made the skin look like a slinky. We had great fun. The apples tasted delicious but a bit sour. By Ellie and Jessica P3/4
