<\/p>\nRephad Pupil Council is made up of 2 pupils from each P4-P7 class and 1 pupil from P1-P3 classes.\u00a0 They are elected to represent their class mates and to be the student voice for our school.<\/p>\n
The children continue to work on our UNCRC\u00a0 initiatives and have helped create posters for many areas of the school to promote our beliefs in the UNCRC system.\u00a0 Children are also developing a pupil newspaper to allow everyone to hear about school from the voice of the children.<\/p>\n

RIGHTS DISPLAY CARDS FOR AREAS<\/a><\/p>\n Pupil Council have been busy supporting our UNCRC targets and looking at survey information from pupils.\u00a0 They will be helping to create an action plan to help earn our Bronze Award for Rights Respecting Schools.<\/p>\n Discussions will also take place about how best to use playground resources and ideas for wet weather play times.<\/p>\n Update May 2022:<\/strong><\/p>\n Members helped support a Safe Roads campaign and with PC McCutcheon were out on the pavement with signs reminding drivers where to park and to drive safely.\u00a0 We hope this keeps everyone safe as the outside of the school is a very busy area before and after school.<\/p>\n Update March 2022:<\/strong><\/p>\n Children helped gather information for a dinner survey that was passed on to the authority to share the children’s views.\u00a0 A few points made included having different portion sizes for older children and a better variety of choice for sandwiches that children prefer.\u00a0 4 Pupil Council survey Dinner menu<\/a><\/p>\n Update Jan 2022:<\/strong><\/p>\n Members have shared ideas about equipment they would like within school and the senior pupils will look at catalogues to cost the items.\u00a0 We hope to share this information with Parent Council to see if they can support us with funds.\u00a0 3 PUPIL COUNCIL 13.1.22<\/a><\/p>\n Update Nov 2021:<\/strong><\/p>\n Children have discussed how House Points can help motivate us in school.\u00a0 Minutes of the recent meeting are attached. 2 pupil committee minutes 5.11.21<\/a><\/p>\n 2 PUPIL COUNCIL HOUSE POINTS SURVEY return Nov 2021<\/a><\/p>\n Update Oct 2021:<\/strong><\/p>\n At our first meeting, all representatives received a Pupil Council badge that they are wearing with pride.\u00a0 The minutes of the meeting are attached.\u00a0 1 pupil committee minutes 7.10.21<\/a><\/p>\n The children gathered information from peers to make lots of decisions about how to improve our playground and what equipment would be exciting to use everyday.\u00a0 They also spend time having discussions about our new anti-bullying policy.\u00a0 They also helped consider what activities would be great for the various sports days that took place in June 2021 under COVID restrictions.\u00a0 The committee worked hard in all these efforts. \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0Survey results re Sports Day<\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n This year we have been busy thinking about our School Ethos and have introduced the House Points system to reward pupils who work hard and display good qualities within the school.
