{"id":5045,"date":"2019-09-17T11:35:20","date_gmt":"2019-09-17T11:35:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/dg\/portpatrickprimary\/?p=5045"},"modified":"2019-09-18T03:43:33","modified_gmt":"2019-09-18T03:43:33","slug":"stem-meets-instructions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/dg\/portpatrickprimary\/?p=5045","title":{"rendered":"STEM, Sway and Instructions :)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>P4-7 are continuing to explore instructions through a range of mediums.\u00a0 Today, we used our STEM craft skills to construct a paper hat.\u00a0 We were required to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sequence diagram images in the correct order<\/li>\n<li>Carry out the construction stages to make a paper hat<\/li>\n<li>Record each step with a clearer, digital photograph<\/li>\n<li>Create a fuller, instruction text with all the required features i.e. Title, equipment, tips, stage photographs, written commands, sequencing connectives and imperative verbs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The children then experimented with using &#8216;Sway&#8217; to create their instruction text publication.\u00a0 Here is an example made by Findlay T &#8211; P7.
